Back then, I watched too many good people get promoted into leadership roles without the tools to succeed. No training. No coaching. Just a pat on the back and a mountain of expectations. And I saw the fallout firsthand: disengaged teams, high turnover, and leaders who quietly burned out while trying to fake it till they made it.
That stuck with me.
Over the past 25+ years, I’ve led local and global operations, coached supervisors, and worked alongside executives at every level. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: leadership isn’t about being the smartest person in the room. It’s about clarity, communication, and the courage to show up for your people in a real way.
